A Christmas Invitation Video
We all know that most Americans have an increasing predilection for video over reading. Whether figuring out how to fix a leaky sink or how cryptocurrency works, more and more Americans prefer video to text when learning about solutions, products, services, and spoiler-filled blockbuster reviews. It is safe to say that most potential visitors to your church are no different. So, why not invite your neighbors to church with a video?
Inspired by our friends at Acts 8 Movement, we have created a Christmas invitation video for you to freely use. Our hope is that you will download, post, and share from your website and social media properties, encouraging members to do the same. If you have a marketing budget, Facebook and Google ads are inexpensive for the return they can provide and be another way to let as many people as possible know about your church’s services this season.
This video is ready to use as is. There are no fees or copyright concerns with this video.
With some basic editing skills, you can customize this video for your congregation. Here are video files and links to tutorials on how to do this:

Once you are ready to publish your video, we suggest that you include a text in your video description that reinforces the name of your church, services times, location, website, and any safety protocols to put visitors at ease. Here is an example:
Join [Name of Church] this Christmas! Our Christmas [Eve or Day] service will be held at [Service Time] at [Address]. All are welcome!
Find out more about [Name of Church] at [Your Church’s Website].
For everyone’s safety, we ask that all attendees [Your Church’s Covid-19 Protocols].

As mentioned above, this video was inspired—and borrows from—videos created by Acts 8 Movement in year’s past. In addition to their English version, Acts 8’s 2018 video has Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese and Cantonese versions available for re-use as well. Please note that their instructional videos were created from 2015 to 2018 and some information may now be outdated.
