You are fully valued, fully accepted, and fully loved. We believe that all people are created in God’s image—celebrating the dignity of every human being, and we honor that every person, in all their diversity, is essential to building up the body of Christ. We are a diverse community following the way of Jesus. Come journey with us as we seek to fulfill our mission in the world- working for the Kingdom of God by transforming our communities with the infinite love of God.
The people of EDSD love to celebrate! In the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego, celebration takes many forms, but it can always be seen in the way we live, love, and worship. Our lives are marked by celebrations with each other—birthdays, weddings, quinceañeras, baptisms, and funerals are vital in celebrating life with community. Most of all, we celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ when we come together around the Lord’s table.
Church isn’t a place to which you go, it’s a family to which you belong. EDSD is made up of 44 unique communities across hundreds of miles, from the Pacific Ocean to the deserts of Yuma, Arizona.
Each community is unique in its makeup. But we are bound together by a common purpose—unified around a common faith—the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Each week our communities across the region gather to encounter the living Christ and to be renewed by God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Everyone is full of power, potential, and purpose. When we experience the life-giving, liberating love of Jesus Christ, it can enable us to find and fulfill that purpose. Here at EDSD there are countless opportunities to discover why we are here, and an open invitation to join in with what God is doing in us, around us and through us.
