Leadership Academy is a day dedicated to equipping the people of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego for the work God has already placed before them. Whether you are clergy, vestry leadership, a ministry volunteer, a communicator, a preacher, a youth leader, or someone simply seeking to grow deeper in faith and service, Leadership Academy offers practical tools, meaningful conversations, and spiritual encouragement for the life of the Church today. This gathering creates space for learning, collaboration, and renewal. Through workshops, storytelling, prayer, and relationship-building, participants are invited to reflect not only on what the Church does, but on who God is calling the Church to become in this moment. Each year, Leadership Academy is hosted by a different congregation, allowing participants to experience the diversity and hospitality of churches throughout our diocese.
In recent years, workshops have explored topics like storytelling in photography, Safe Church training, neurodivergent inclusion, youth leadership, evangelism, and community engagement. Grounded in prayer and shaped by our commitment to thoughtful, compassionate leadership, Leadership Academy is a place where leaders leave inspired, connected, and better prepared to participate in God’s work of transformation across the Diocese of San Diego.
