Marie Tuthill, member of St. Dunstan’s, San Diego, was honored by Episcopal Community Services (ECS) for her faithful support of the diocesan social service agency. The Estancia in La Jolla welcomed guests to the fifth annual gala, Water to Wine: Making Miracles at ECS, on Valentine’s Day. Over 250 attended and over $83,000 was raised, making this the most successful gala to date. A one-of-a-kind wooden wine rack, handcrafted by Bishop Mathes, was the coveted auction item that went to Mark and Barbara DeMichele. The proceeds from this event help ECS deliver services to over 10,000 people throughout the diocese who struggle with poverty, mental health challenges, homelessness and addiction. +
