Back to School Bash

The Diocesan Service Coalition pulled off another successful event: the Back 2 School Bash. St. Mark’s, City Heights hosted the bash, which provided backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, shoes, professional portraits and a meal to refugee and low-income children. Heather Nunnery Smith coordinated the momentous effort.

SERVICE CONTACTS:

  • 275 backpacks
  • 215 pairs of shoes distributed
  • 85 volunteers
  • 45 haircuts given
  • 27 families served
  • 20 children & youth volunteers
  • 14 churches donated
  • 3 hair stylists
  • 1 diocesan institution
