The Rev. Mark Hargreaves, PhD – Keynote Presentation
The Rev. Mark Hargreaves, PhD is rector of St James, La Jolla. He came from the Diocese of London where he served for 25 years. Mark studied theology at Oxford and earned a PhD from Cambridge on the subject of the authority of the Bible. He is interested in the visual arts, cycling, tennis and collecting old postcards. He is married to Laura, a native Californian.

The Rev. Deb Seles hails from Chicago (Go Cubs!) and was introduced to the Episcopal Church through her late husband, Emory. She was ordained in 2002 and served the Diocese of Chicago in many roles before moving to Idaho to become rector of Ascension, Twin Falls. She is associate rector at St. Margaret’s, Palm Desert and a member of The Improvables of the Desert, an improv comedy troupe out of Palm Springs. She enjoys exploring mountain trails with her Norwegian Elkhound, Rocky and a rat terrier, Sunny.
