This six-unit virtual discussion group is open to  youth grades 7-12 willing to engage in tough conversations to deepen their understanding of racism\, identity\, privilege\, and healing as part of the life-long work of dismantling racism. \nThis six week series will be held virtually. Youth participants are expected to attend all six sessions. The work is important. The conversation is important. Your commitment to the program is important! \nThere will be an initial parent/youth meeting on Sunday\, July 5th at 3:00 p.m. Additional meetings will be held on Tuesday afternoons at 3pm and are for youth participants. Those meetings are scheduled for July 7\, 14\, 21\, 28 and August 4\, and 11.The youth of this program are laying the ground work for future groups and will develop important leadership and communication skills as part of the journey. \n\nAll available spots for this workshop have been filled. His areas of interest have been health care\, the Middle East\, national security\, education\, foreign policy\, among others. He ran a staff of 150\, and managed a $20 million budget. Under his direction\, the Tribune won two Pulitzer Prizes. \nHe will share a handful of pointers to improve one’s writing. As always\, all are welcome to attend.
