DESCRIPTION:St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is honored to host Dr. Sarah Banks\, Ph.D.\, a leading researcher in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease\, for an eye-opening community presentation and community dinner on Wednesday\, October 22\, 2025\, from 6:00–8:00 PM. \nDr. Banks serves as Associate Professor of Neurosciences at UC San Diego\, Director of the Neuropsychology Program at the Center for Memory Disorders and Brain Health\, and Associate Director of the Stein Institute for Research on Aging. She also co-leads the Women: Inflammation and Tau Studies (WITS) and the Healthy Actions and Lifestyles to Avoid Dementia Study (HALT-AD)\, groundbreaking projects focused on better understanding how biology and lifestyle shape brain health. \nHer presentation\, Alzheimer’s in Women: The Lifestyle Factors That Can Help\, will shed light on a crucial truth: women represent two-thirds of all Alzheimer’s cases and often experience more severe brain changes than men.
