UTO Grant Applications Now Accepted

Applications for United Thank Offering (UTO) Grants

Every year ministries across the Episcopal Church receive tens of thousands of dollars in grants from the United Thank Offering (UTO). The application materials for 2017 grants  are now available.

The focus for the 2017 United Thank Offering grants is The Jesus Movement – evangelism, reconciliation, and following Jesus’ way of creating loving, liberating, and life-giving relationships with God, each other, and all creation

Each diocese may submit one application, so the first step in applying is to apply to the bishop’s office to be our diocese’s application. A complete application for review by the diocese must be  emailed to the diocesan UTO officer Jamie Wood by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1.

The United Thank Offering will accept:

  • grant applications for start-up costs for a new ministry, not for the continuation of an ongoing ministry unless there is a definite new direction added to the existing program;
  • grant applications for seed money for start-up positions, either full- or part-time for a new ministry (see above);
  • one grant application per diocese within The Episcopal Church;
  • one additional application from a diocese of The Episcopal Church for a companion/partnership grant

All the forms necessary and explanatory materials are available here.
