SUMMARY:United Thank Offering Ingathering
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, May 5 churches all over our diocese will once again gather in all the donations to the United Thank Offering (UTO) via the little blue mite boxes. Parishioners will assemble their United Thank Offering mite boxes that have accumulated thanksgivings and spare bills and change as part of the UTO Ingaterhing. \n  \nThe blue boxes are supplied by UTO. Every time you think of something you are grateful for\, you drop an offering into the box. By May 5\, you may have quite a few gratitudes to contribute to the ingathering. It’s just one more way to express gratitude to God in this life. \n  \nIn its earliest years in the 19th century\, UTO\, organized and run entirely by Episcopal women\, was at times the largest single source of funding for The Episcopal Church’s missionary work. Today its grants support state-of-the-art ministry on the leading edge of the #JesusMovement. The boxes usually arrive in four to five days.
