DESCRIPTION:St. Mark’s is so blessed to be able to have a 2019 Back 2 School Bash.  We know we would not have made it to our 8th Annual without your generous support throughout the years.  Be it financial\, backpacks\, volunteers to put the supplies together or volunteers to work the day of the event\, we cannot thank  you enough. \nAt this annual event\, underserved children receive brand new backpacks stuffed with new school supplies\, new shoes\, new socks and the message that they are loved and supported in their educational endeavor. Kids also receive haircuts (we need hair dressers!). Families can take family portraits with the help of volunteer photographers. Crafts\, games and activities for kids will take place. Snacks for all. \nWe still need volunteers!\nIf you can work a shift contact Debbie Kistler ASAP. \nThe shifts are: \n\nAll day – 8:30 a.mm to 1:00 p.m.\nShift 1 – 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.\nShift 2 – 11:00 a.m. to 2 :00 p.m.\n\nAny help you can provide will be welcome and appreciated but Shift 2 help is most needed. SUMMARY:Bishop's Legacy Society Evensong
DESCRIPTION:The Rt. Rev. Susan Brown Snook invites those who have remembered the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego\, or their Episcopal congregation\, in their end-of-life plans to a special Evensong and reception at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Bishop Susan will communicate her deep gratitude to this society of people who have thought through their estate plans\, and remembered the Diocese in them. She will also give the homily in the Evensong. Instead of sitting in the pews\, legacy society members are invited to sit in the chancel\, close to the altar\, which makes for an intimate service. Surrounded by wood and candlelight\, attendees can bask in the music\, prayers and words from our bishop. \nAnyone may join by simply including a clause in their wills that leaves a percentage or quantity amount of their estate to the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. DESCRIPTION:Our 46th Annual Diocesan Convention will take place on November 8 and 9 at St. Margaret’s\, 47-535 Highway 74\, Palm Desert\, CA 92260. \nImportant Dates & Deadlines \nApril 30: Deadline for Lay Delegate Certificates. If you have not yet sent yours in\, please contact Keren Mondaca\, 619-481-5455.\nJuly 21: Deadline for Nominations\nAugust 1: Deadline for proposed changes in the Constitution and Canons\nSeptember 30: Deadline for Servant Ministry Award Nominations\nOctober 1: Deadline for Resolutions & Deadline for All Material to be included in the convention booklet\nOctober 27: Deadline for Registration\nNovember 8-9: Forty-Sixth Annual Diocesan Convention at St. Margaret’s\, Palm Desert\nNovember 15: Deadline for Common Life Share Pledges. Please submit your pledge to the diocesan office by this date.
