DESCRIPTION:Mission Mexico: a mission trip for high school youth \nMission Mexico 2019 Flyer \nAges 15 – 18  \n*Passport required \nExperience a new culture while helping to transform a community! This summer’s diocesan youth mission trip will be with the Diocese of Western Mexico. During the nine days that we are in Mexico we will have the opportunity to complete several construction projects aiding the Pame\, an indigenous people living in the mountains outside of San Luis Potosi. We will also run a children’s program in Guadalajara with the youth of the diocese of Western Mexico. This will be a deeply cultural and transforming trip. We are being hosted by Bishop Gomez Osnaya and he will travel with us the entire time. Make no mistake though\, this is a service trip. SUMMARY:Urban Immersion
DESCRIPTION:Urban Immersion\nAugust 4-10\, 2019\nYouth entering Grades 7-9 \n* Registration for this trip is limited to 20 youth. \nCost $500 \nThis year’s Urban Immersion trip will be hosted by Sierra Service Project – San Diego. We will be staying and serving in Imperial Beach. Youth will focus on poverty\, immigration\, and the environment. There will be the opportunity to ask questions and broaden our world view. \nSSP does half of their work with homeowners\, and half with community-based organizations. The type of work includes painting\, rebuilding fences\, and other general home repairs. No construction experience is needed\, and you’ll be amazed at all the work our teams complete! Since we will be the final program week\, we anticipate having the opportunity to finish many of the projects that are started over the summer. \nRegistration for this trip is limited to 20 youth. Once the trip is full\, we will begin a fundraising effort.
