New Diocesan Sacred Ground Circle:
EDSD Racial Justice Task Force will organize a new Sacred Ground circle starting on October 3. Gigi Miller & Erin O’Brien from St. Andrew’s Encinitas will co-facilitate. Sacred Ground is the Episcopal Church’s film & reading based series which creates space for difficult but respectful and transformative dialogue on race, racism & faith. The dialogue circle will start on Monday, October 3, 5:30-7:30 pm via Zoom and will meet for 12 sessions. Meetings are generally every two weeks (same day & time)—except on holidays—through March 20. Most study materials are available online. The program assumes prior reading/viewing before each session. Selected materials are highly informative, stimulating, and transformative. If your parish has not yet had a circle, or if you have not had a chance to participate, this circle is for you. Everyone is welcome to participate!
Like to know more? Not sure whether a Sacred Ground circle is for you? Attend an informational meeting on Monday, September 12, 5:30-6:30 pm via Zoom. For more information or to sign up for the circle and/or the information session, please contact Jill Henderson: jfh@cox.net
